I agree. CUSA is a one-bid league for everybody BUT MTSU in 2017. If MTSU makes the finals but loses to LA Tech, MTSU still gets in the NCAA Tourney.

I'm afraid if Middle loses in the final it will open the door for an average P5 team to sneak in, like a Wake Forest, Vandy, or Syracuse. Any excuse to get these type teams in there is paramount for ESPN and the pundits who run the show.

What are their prospects of an at-large if they lose again to UTEP (who still has to win their tough quarterfinal) in the semi's?

Vandy. That's garbage. MTSU crushed them by 23 in OOC.

Sad Middle has to play in a league with so many pathetic teams. USM being one of the very worst. I think they deserve a bid on their own, but given the sorry state of this league, it probably is a one bid league. Hopefully Middle gets in either way.

I don't consider LA Tech, ODU, UTEP, Rice, WKU, or even USM to be pathetic. Things change from season to season, and most teams at our level go through peaks and valleys. MTSU won't be the "class" of this conference every year.

I didn't say all the teams were pathetic. I said "so many". And yes there are many, including USM.

If MTSU loses in CUSA tournament and Vandy gets an at large while MTSU sits at home, you guys should be pissed...MTSU destroyed Vandy earlier in the season....All of these talking heads yelling about how many bad teams are on bubble this season but comm. cannot reward teams like MTSU that won games....No value in winning games just value with teams like Vandy who had 20 chances to build up their resume and 20 home games....Hell as bad as WKU was even we could beat a highly ranked team at home 1 time out of 10 times at home...

You know that MT deserves an at large if WKU fans even say so

Lol at the wtf question mark on UTEP.

It would be pretty crazy if UTEP downs MTSU again, then goes on to win the tourney. Floyd needs an NCAA entry...bad. If that scenario happens, MTSU is still in. I'm not holding my breath though.

FWIW, ESPN has MTSU as a #11 seed. That's at-large worthy.

They should be an at large, but they won't be. Cusa is already sketched as a one bid league, and if middle loses, then that would mess up the good ole boys plans a bit but they would be a 1 seed in the NIT.

Anyone who has watched MTSU with half a brain knows they should be an at large. The deck is stacked against the non power teams so who knows what will happen?
