Exciting EMU News (Facilities)
Certainly bigger news than the release of the MAC FB schedule.

http://www.freep.com/story/news/local/mi.../98533930/

New football building, get rid of that much hated track around Rynearson. New premium seating at the north end (attached to the new FB buiding)

I believe new lights, scoreboard, etc. will be done at the same time.

Sometimes better late than never.

We haven't done much for football in 25 years (lot of smaller stuff).

Time to get caught up.

Track should stay-move football. EMU track is good.

From the article:
That amount includes $6 million from one, unnamed donor, which would be the largest cash gift ever given to the university.

The one thing that gets hurt is EMU T&F.

Because of Rynearson, EMU has been able to host the Jr. Olympics. That would be gone now.

I assume EMU will have limited bleacher seating around the new track (I believe the soccer field will be within it.

So adding more seats, when you can't fill the ones you have? What's the point?

Premium seats tend to bring in more money than regular ones.

Indeed.

We sell out our suite seats and they added (2016) premium seating section which almost sold out. (they were groups of seats I believe around like a small table).

I didn't think they'd be popular but they were.

And do remember, folks need to contribute nice bucks for the right to buy those premium seats.

Suites are very popular as the game is very, very different experience than in the stands.

Premium and suites are lame anyhow, concrete screaming is where it is at.
