NCAA tournament field really weak?
Was just watching espn. Lunardi had Tennessee as part of his next 4 out. They were 15-15 and 7-9 in conference. How the hell is that even close to the bubble? .500 and under .500 in conference?

Of course, Kansas state and tcu are both bubble teams from the big 12. Their conference records? Both 6-10. Wtf is going on? Why are all these sorry power conference teams being considered. 4 games under .500 in conference ought to be a no-brainer not on the bubble

Are the new selection criteria basically take as many power 5 teams as you can?

I don't understand why Houston is not getting any mentions as making it in...If they finish the season with under 10 losses I think they should.

The big boys are having a big circle jerk allowing this to happen.

There's always a few media bubble teams picked to bolster ratings. Tennessee is one of them this year because their fans are still gullible at this point.

Actually, most who have been following the Tourney over the years think if it consolidates into P5 domination, ratings will fall 20-40%. Plus, the current contract runs another decade or so I think.

So, don't look for any major changes soon. IMO, just a down year for BE, American and then the mid majors are having down years.

If you have a conf record that is below 0.500, you should be OUT!
Of course, that would limit the number of teams the power conferences could have, resulting in less $$$ for them, so it will never happen. 03-puke

Its going to get worse if the top 6 conferences go to 20 conference games.

Then they will really say we don't play anybody.

But would it not further weaken P5-really a misnomer for CBB-chances for bubble consideration? Avg teams woukd have 10 damn losses in the league. That just doesn't play well with me if I was on committee. Foolish decision by top 5 football leagues (sounds better).
