I'm still wondering who gets the 5 seed in the event that both Memphis and Uconn finish with a record of 10-8. And yes it's unlikely that we both finish with a win over SMU (us) and Cincinnati (uconn). But crazy things happen in college hoops.

Umm...can't you read my three posts above?

So, as the 5 we get a 1st Round bye and then play UCF in Round 2. Then likely meet SMU in the Semis if we get past the Knights...

As the 6 we would play USF in Round 1 and then play Houston in Round 2. Likely meet Cincy in the Semis if we got that far.

...almost rather have the 6

Well the six seed would be a no brainer if it wasn't for extra game and it seems we can't blow anyone out without playing starters 35 or so minutes; that would mean 4 guys playing 140 minutes from Thursday night thru early Sunday afternoon. Lot of PT.

he's a rookie who tries hard-give him a break. Paper ain't what it used to be. We had Lapides (great writer), Woody Paige, Mike DeCourcey, Dan Wolken covering Tigers.

He's not a rookie, Mr. 99%.

We'd get USF, then Houston. If UConn could knock off SMU in the other Q-Final game on our side of the bracket, we could face UConn in the semis. When that game and we are 22-12 heading to conf finals. Might be enough to get us back in NIT discussion if we cant finish out championship.

I don't give a bull shite about the fricking NIT and the players don't either.

We don't care whether you want the NIT or not. Players? I bet some do. Some look like they haven't cared in weeks. Pretty sure the staff would welcome the NIT.

That will cut into Tubby's nap time.

Just like he was recently quoted: "I'm still getting paid. I'm fine."

A bit of ageism and quoting out of context, but if that floats your boat

The tie breaker rules have become harder to read than Pride and Prejudice

For someone who is in the top 1%, you have a hard time with facts. You said he's a "ROOKIE". Doesn't matter what his last job was, he's not a rookie. He's covered 2 colleges.

Just turtle up, already.
