Cumberland's jump shot
Anybody notice that Jaron's looks very flat. He has a really quick release (which is good), but he he seems to almost shoot flat footed and his shot is at a really low angle. The good news is his shots always look on target, but usually hit off the back of the rim be a use the ball doesn't have enough room to drop in.

I hope someone can work with him on this over the here he off season.

His jumper could use a little work, but I would approach with caution. He is already a pretty decent shooter, so it would be risky to try to reinvent the wheel.

I also wouldn't call it flat. Get gets plenty of arc. Doesn't quite seem to have the full extended release but while being a little unorthodox it's not really bad form.

He has an odd release for sure, but it goes in a lot so I don't really care what it looks like leaving his hands.

His shot reminds me of Shaq Thomas's. But he is just a better shooter.

It's definitely a little flat, but it comes out of his hand great and with a lot of rotation. A few games he's shown he can shoot with more arc and still hit shots. It will get better.

I think this works for him more than the typical 3 point shooter, because he likes the 3 point shot fake and drive. I think it actually helps hide his shot fake better.

RE: Cumberland's jump shot
Cumberland is a thumb shooter which is why the release looks funny. His left thumb flips in on the ball when he shoots, instead of only the right hand. His left hand is fairly involved in his shot, making the timing critical. This is why a lot of times he has some side spin to the ball. Thumb shooters can be very good, but their timing has to be spot on. He has a little bit of a chicken wing with his right arm also.
