Wednesday night games in November...ugh

CMU game on ESPN 2. Nice.

And we close out the season at NIU and at Toledo. That's always tough.

CMU on a Wednesday night?!

Screw that.

MACtion sucks!

Kathy and the new CMU AD should tell the MAC and ESPN, they are playing at 1 p.m on Saturday with, or without, TV. Screw ESPN! 05-mafia

RE: 2017 schedule released
8 months until the CMU game. Out of towners can request paid time off for the next Thursday morning RIGHT NOW.

If we win the games we are supposed to win, we should have a GREAT, IMPACTFUL crowd for ESPN2; even on a Wednesday.

I'm excited!!!

RE: 2017 schedule released
The downside of coming off a successful year is getting stuck in a bunch of crappy Wednesday 'MACtion' games. Having CMU be one of them is an extra kick in the groin.

5th consecutive year we end the season with Toledo or NIU.

Wednesday night?! "IMPACTFUL crowd?"

Get away from the bar at Bells, my friend.

We'll be lucky if to have 12,000 in the stadium.

MACtion SUCKs, particularly for important rivalry games.

RE: 2017 schedule released
So how bad is our attendance going to be this season? Home games are Idaho, Wagner, Ball State, Akron, Central, Kent State. Central and Kent are on Wednesdays in November. CMU game is also on ESPN2, so if the weather is bad I'm sure people will stay home.

This might be our worst season for attendance in a long time, especially if some of these dates suffer bad weather.

IF we keep our winning ways up, YES. I was there for the Toledo game last year. The crowd MATTERED.

Wow, there's not one MAC game on a Saturday in all of November. Even with MACtion, there's still seemed to be 1 or 2 Saturday games per week. Not this year.

That November...ouch.

It's looking likely that I'll be relocating to Athens, so I was hoping to see at least one away game in eastern Ohio. At least I'll be back in MAC country and closer to Kalamazoo.

RE: 2017 schedule released
MAC administrators much more concerned about the TV money than they are with the paying fans in the stands.

Otherwise they wouldn't be playing these ridiculous mid-week night games in November - ESPECIALLY a big rivalry game like Western-Central!

Didn't we play it on a Tuesday in '07 with awful weather and a pretty full house?

Shows what the MAC thinks of our rivalry game. Sucks that it is a week night.

We played Central at Waldo on a Tuesday night in November '07.

Attendance was 16,952 - hardly a full house.

I see us 10-1 going into Toledo with the MAC West title on the line. Lock it!

I have doubts that Dantonio is going to have a second consecutive clunker of a season, but hopefully they start out of the gate poorly and we grab a W from them.

Replacing NIU as "the team" in the MAC West means weeknight games.
