What's the reasoning behind ODU having to win both games to clinch a 3 seed? UTEP, ODU and Rice could all end up at 12-6 but if ODU wins on Thursday we should have the tiebreaker on both. I don't know who'd be #4 in that situation. Am I thinking wrong?

You're correct. If we beat UTEP, we secure the 3rd seed. If we win tomorrow and lose Saturday, we would have the same record, with the tiebreaker being tomorrow night's game. To the victor goes the higher seed.

You're absolutely correct. It's been changed. Oversight on my part. For whatever reason I used the tie breaker of UTEP's record against the top teams before the head-to-head.

Thanks! I'm really liking this ODU squad right now and going in to next season. Xavier Green, Hueitt, and Caver is a heck of a back court going forward.
