It was his best speech since he was elected...that's for sure. The question remains, he threw a lot of things out there that are designed to appeal to Americans. Keeping the Pre Exising condition waiver in the Health Care for example, the real question is, can he actually fulfill half of what he talks about?

I'm not sure he can.
I think if you look back 50% would be higher than most. Hell I would think 25% would be on the high end for most presidents. And I think President Trump will fall somewhere in that 50% range or higher. With a catch. The catch will be those things that get fulfilled...some will be less than 100%
Always going to be some give and take and if both side are some what disappointed but also OK. It will be better for the people. We really need a president that can find the middle of the road on a lot of our problems.
Being that I expected him to come off looking foolish?.....He did a good job. He needs to keep using the teleprompter and stay on the scripts that others write for him. His best "performance" thus far as POTUS.

I thought it was also admirable he asked for paid family leave for new parents - that one probably came from Ivanka.
I laughed when he said he would pay for a 1 trillion dollar infrastructure bill through private and public capital. Ron Paul tweeted that they'll have to print more money. Same old, same old.
sounds like you and Ron Paul don't know much about P3's.

Dont' get too hung up on the pre-existing conditions waiver. Most states, 35 in fact, had a high-risk pool for pre-existing conditions and those that didn't had directives similar to Obamacare. If he can do half of what he said he wants to do, it will be hard to look back on his presidency as anything but a success.
There are a ton of things that a president really doesn't directly impact......setting a tone for the country is one of the things he can. IMO, one of the things that made Reagan as good as he was, was the positive tone he was able to get Americans to generally buy into.
