spot on right here

playing UCF this year reminds me of playing USF in the Big East in 2012. Just a grueling ugly game and you never feel confident you are going to win.

SMU is just a flat out great team and I will be shocked if they dont make it at least to the Sweet 16. They are ranked now, but not a household name and not a blue blood and I think this will be a serious advantage for them in the big dance. Esp if they get matched up with a big name team at some point. They are legit good.

UH and Memphis I respect but don't fear this year.

Nobody else in the aac, incl UCONN scares me at all. The UCONN 'march mystique' isn't going to fly this year. This isn't a loaded team that finally figures it out in March narrative that UCONN has had in the past. It's a team decimated by injuries and the fact is, they just aren't a good team. I expect UC to beat them at UCONN just like we did at home and if we meet them again in the AAC I expect another win.

UCONN is 9-2 all-time in the AAC tournament.

For another sort of conference losing streak, Tubby Smith has not won a conference tourney game since 2012.
