Bite your tongue!04-chairshot

was it northern arizona the game before that one that d'juan baker hit the game winner?

Yup. Ben Howland was their coach.

we watched that one in whatever class i was in. i guess i was in high school. they always had the tourney games on in school. it was great. i have no idea why they did that. they probably knew the bearcats weren't going passed the second round so no harm no foul. i was in physics class when kenyon broke his leg. hallways were silent and a girl renounced god

Honeycut had hit a tough baseline jumper to give Tulane the lead with I don't know how many seconds left. UC brought the ball down court, called a time out and then ran a double screen (I believe) for Burton who buried the three from the corner to win it at the buzzer.

Funny story on that one...we had tickets to see the game in New Orleans...packed our bags, hopped on the plane got there in plenty of time.....and we had left the tickets at home on the living room table...

It was a classic case of both of us looking at each other and at the same time saying "did you bring the tickets?". We watched that game in the ACME oyster house and the FedEx with the tickets came...one day late. I still remember a UC fan at the bar turning to me and saying "money" when Burton hit that shot...I always thought Darnell was under-appreciated...he could hit from nearly half-court consistently.

It was still a great trip...we've seen games in Fogleman since then and it's always a lot of fun...New Orleans has the best food in the country in my experience...with Chicago a close second....I've never been to NY, so I can't comment on what they have.
