john, I said clearly, unequivocally, that I don't want the state funding abortions. I said nothing about medical research or even the other services that Planned Parenthood provides.

FWIW and for what I am familiar with the CDC they have a legitimate research mission that works towards saving lives. Any closer look at them could probably find a myriad of useless research or questionable spending. If that's something you want to chat about, make a thread about it......

Abortion outside of rape, incest and life of the mother is an abomination. Anyone that advocates it is a positive for society is mentally deranged. There is NO excuse for unwanted pregnancies. Any couple that conceive a child due to their irresponsible behavior should be FORCED to see their mistake emerge in the delivery room. It they still don't want the child?..then watch it be handed over to a couple that actually WANT children and care about the sanctity of life. Abortion as a means of birth control is a dastardly, irresponsible practice that should be eliminated using any means necessary.

It is not a net benefit outside of rape,incest or the life of the mother. There is an endless line of couples that can not conceive or just would love to add a child to their families and would see that that child becomes an educated, productive, tax paying citizen. We need to make adoption 1000x easier and less expensive. We need to encourage women to take the child to term and.... Im even willing to help financially with that.... and gift that child to a loving family or relatives.

Abortion...genetically is an abomination. We need the mixing of the gene pool. The genetic advancement of our specie depends upon it.

We also NEED births in regard to our population demography. John...as a progressive that wants the state to be able to afford to pay for all the social programs you deem to be a positive for society?...If you don't have taxpayers to pay for that stuff..you have to cut them or raise taxes. Increases in our birthrate is not a bad thing. It pays off later on as long as those births are productive citizens. Encouraging adoption instead of abortion accomplishes that.

We need to have a shift in paradigm to discourage abortion and encourage adoption.
