Well its the same mistake President Obama made, confusing health insurance with health care. Its the basic flaw of Obamacare. Its not care, its coverage. Should be called Obamacoverage and welfare for insurance companies.

There's just an assumption that anything you post is based on outrage.

Good to know that some of your posts are mental pablum.

If it's not outrage, pick your buzzword then. The constant hunt for anything to criticize Trump led you to start a thread over the semantics of "provide great health care" and "facilitate the providing of great health care".

Epic thread, would read again. 03-2thumbsup

•Obama Remarks at the American Medical Association, June 15, 2009: "I know that there are millions of Americans who are content with their health care coverage — they like their plan and, most importantly, they value their relationship with their doctor. They trust you. And that means that no matter how we reform health care, we will keep this promise to the American people: If you like your doctor, you will be able to keep your doctor, period. If you like your health care plan, you'll be able to keep your health care plan, period. No one will take it away, no matter what."

RE: Donald - Confused on Health Care Providers
Depending on where one lives it would be hard to be confused on health insurance providers since there is only one.

Did you really just accuse someone of looking for anything to criticize a president for?

FYI - I posted the thread because a certain couple posters here continually said I was always claiming they were the same...insurance and care...when in fact, I never implied they were.

I do not think Obama lied. I just think they did not take into account that hospitals, doctors and clinics started to refuse to take certain providers because of non-payments. Even if the Republicans put in place plans? Many counties in the states will still only have one provider because doctors, hospitals and clinics will still refuse to take those other insurance providers for nonpayment.

Yeah...he was trying to calm fears of those with employer plans (the majority of the US who are covered) that the ACA would not directly take away their doctor or insurance, in my opinion.

What he failed to realize though (or communicate properly) was that you can never guarantee this when it comes to insurance companies. They change coverages and drop covered doctors all the time.

It clearly was not his finest hour.

Umm, not exactly.

Plans inevitably change slightly from year to year. New treatments are developed which must be covered or not. Prices change. These and other changes are not changes in the plan, but changes to the environment in which the plan operates. The regulations issued pursuant to the act ensured that a fairly minimal amount of such changes would disqualify the plan from being retained. Everybody involved knew this was going to happen. I believe several posters on here discussed that while the bill was being debated. But, oh no, that won't be a problem, Obama told us it wouldn't. SOB lied.

You are correct that docs changed their minds about what plans to accept or not. That was also fully anticipated and IIRC discussed by several posters on here while the bill was being debated. But, oh no, that won't be a problem, Obama told us it wouldn't. SOB lied again.
