Not a walk. But the Rice-LA Tech game officials this weekend would have definitely called it "traveling".

I'm sure it was a big moment for Jacorey to hit a game winner in his hometown to seal an outright conference championship.

I have a question for UAB folks. Why have you guys not been able to play that well all season? Like I mentioned in the other thread I felt like UAB played a better game. Game all we wanted and more.

I'm 100 percent for getting the call right, no matter what the clock says. If it's a walk midway through the first half, it's a walk with 4 seconds left. That wasn't a close travel, he slid both feet. Should have been called. With that being said, it was a helluva shot by JaCorey Williams. Can't debate that.

Can't argue with this point. JaCorey can make a living in the NBA with that mid-range jumper. He is really really good. William Lee had just as good a game in the mid-range. Those two battling all game was the highlight of my in person game watching this season.

Not a walk. He never slid his pivot foot. One of the very few good calls those crappy refs made.

Definitely looked like a travel to me.

Just off the video, I didn't see his right foot move once it was planted. Which is impressive considering his left was sliding. Good no call IMO. Congrats Middle. You guys have a great team this year.

Exactly, one foot slid and the other didn't. The TV angle shows it perfectly; you can see him plant that right foot and it doesn't move until he has already passed the ball. The refs got it right. Big shot by Jacorey to win it. Glad to see we brought several hundred (?) fans to B'ham.

Hey Ole Blue. Just wanted to say congrats on the endorsement!!!

As for the UAB / MTSU game, I thoroughly enjoyed watching that one. Williams is a very talented big man and plays with a lot of emotion. Nice clutch shot he made to win the game, although UAB almost pulled out an even better shot as time expired. That was too close for comfort (for MTSU) under those circumstances.

Looked like a walk, but I think you have to be 100% sure to call it.

I haven't seen much of Williams just kind of following his stat line on a nightly basis. Reading this made me go look. 57% of his shots are 2 point jumpers and he hits at an extremely high rate of 44%.

He's a southpaw with a super smooth high release point. I was sitting next to Aldo Amato, MT's beat writer, and he said that he perfected his mid-range game while he was sitting out last season. Happy to see him take advantage of a second opportunity.

That mid range jumper is absolutely deadly. When he pulled up for that one, I knew it was in. He's hit it all year long.

Re-watching the replay and of all guys it was William Lee who bit on the high pick and roll and left Williams alone. Fantastic play call.
