Then he went 7-1 in conference. Wonder what he's making now at Oregon. Oh, it's 5 years for 16 million. A person up on football might say Willie is doomed out there but I damn sure ain't gonna bet against him. And this video is way better done than the Appy State one. Willie's head bop is classic in here.

Yeah, but 'ole Willie is as happy as Appy right about now. Laughing all the way to the bank.

What would be really great would be if the SEC kicks their butt out of the conference if they do receive the hammer of 30-40 schollies, 5 year ban, show cause on coach. Then they could go after Texas or Oklahoma to replace them.

Or Arkansas State. They've been waiting on a P5 invite since the Big 12 told them they were the last one left out.

We have to up our violations before we can be a serious contender.

I wonder how Detric Bing Dukes is feeling now? The team he abandoned went to a bowl game while he sat at home and now he's out of one this year too and may not ever get to see the field or the postseason. If he stayed with MT, he would have been a starter on a team with a lot more upside.

Gotta love Karma.

When OM gets more post season bans added, he can come back without missing a year. There will be wholesale transfers coming from players. I believe NCAA rules allow a player to transfer and play immediately if a school is hit with at least a two year post season ban.

I would hope our coaches are reaching out. However, I think this first post season ban is self imposed. We'll see what happens.

Doubt it is possible but if they get a 5 year probation and 3 year bowl ban what are the chances the NCAA allows kids already there to leave and be eligible immediately at their next school. I wonder how quick those juniors and upcoming seniors would jump ship which would in turn have a deeper impact

im hearing 5 yr bowl ban and 10 scholleys a year for 5 years. That would be in line with what we got for Tyndel. and we didnt have the lack of instit control charge.

All signs are indicating that this could get bad for OM. They self-imposed a 1 year post season ban and that alone loses them $7M+. A lot of people in the know are saying that this shows that the NCAA is going to drop the hammer.

Like some others had said, OM fought with the NCAA and made things very difficult for them. One of the reasons that Southern Miss did not get a stiffer penalty was because our university was fully cooperative with their investigation and did not hinder their process. OM did just the opposite and that is when the NCAA lets you have it. Let's hope they don't hold back.

Chip Kelly got an 18 month show cause for "failure to monitor", which is a lesser charge than Freeze got. Lack of Institutional Control is the charge that gets a school heavily penalized. I think Wolken is close on his penalties. Maybe 30-40 schollies lost, 3 year bowl ban, Freeze an 8 year show cause. 5 year probation.

On the Memphis board they say that with a one-year post season ban, seniors are free to transfer.

You all looking to go to Oxford and stir that pot for transfers?

I always found that "lack of institutional control" description puzzling. It completely dismisses the possibility that the legitimate leadership of the university knew exactly what was going on and actively facilitated it. That's not at all far-fetched, in my opinion, nor is it somehow less bad than the true "lack of institutional control" scenario.

I just find it humorous that in order to fight "lack of institutional control" you have to basically say "when our school was breaking the rules, we DID know about it and had control over our people!"

45-60 scholarships
Bowl bans in 17, 18 & 19
Multiple show causes
Freeze never coaches again
5 years probation

Not sure it will be that strong, but it will be close. This will effectively kill that program for many years to come. Their arrogance did them in. OM arrogance is a disease. Been around it my whole life.
