While UCF is getting hot at the right time, we just don't have the depth to be competitive in a tourney where we have to beat 3 top AAC teams over 3 days. I think we have 6 healthy scholarship players. Next year though...

Yes if they win until the finals they'll make it. Any other result makes them a longshot without winning the conference tournament.

USF can make the NCAA's by winning the conference tourney. Kim Jong Un can also take over the world.

I've looked at every bracket on the bracket matrix. I think if we beat Cincinatti Thursday and beat East Carolina Sunday and make it to the semi-finals were in. If we lose to Cincinnatti Thursday, i think we have to win the tournament or lose by a point in triple overtime to the Mustangs in the finals.

One win over SMU or Cincinnati is optimal.

After that showing last night, I am afraid the committee has scratched us off their list.

Hopefully, that game serves as a wake up call and we go on a tear.

Houston [20-9 (11-6), RPI: 51, SOS: 58] Houston has stayed on the page by beating the teams it should beat, teams like Tulane, Temple and Tulsa, but has failed to make a move off the fringe because of nights like Thursday. Yes, it's a lot to ask of a team to win at Cincinnati, but it's not a lot to ask of a tournament team, necessarily, nor is it all that lofty to hinge one's bubble-worthiness on the ability to beat SMU in its own building. In short, the Cougars are stuck hoping a win over Rhode Island and two more top-100 victories are enough to impress a committee that will probably scoff at the suggestion. At least for now. The American tournament is the last best chance.

Crap. Well, we've gotta win the AAC tourney to get in. Otherwise, we'll be NIT-bound again.

It will be tough due to lack of Conference respect, but win over UC/SMU and finals vs the other should definitely get you into the discussion. Should get your RPI around 40.

That Rhode Island win has held up.
