The coaches allow them to stay on the floor. You have to send a message that you will not accept that level of effort. All it takes is effort to box out. No talent is necessay.

Coaches have subbed and changes starting lineup. Sometimes you can't motivate people.

That's a loaded comment.

Do you mean that our coaching won't be to the level we expect until year 3 or that our junior class is pulling the team down?

Both.

Fair enough. I think our juniors are a talented group...Haase just seemed to be able to squeeze more out of them than Ehsan has been able to.

Don't know if that was motivation or game-planning and managing. Maybe it's a combo of those things, too.

They are talented. But for whatever reason, they are not consistent. They don't play hard all the time, and they don't want to play defense unless it is blocking a shot.

Maybe next year's hashtag should be #StealCity

They're not great together one should play with Tosin and the other Smallwood.

I completely agree. I just think our coaching staff is too accepting of their lack of effort.

Why not let Lee move to the 3 and let Cokley and Mehinti work inside? Next year plug in the good 4/5 we're gonna add late. Nick and either Hurtado or Bryant as interchangeable PG/SG's.

I've been to a couple of our practices. Our coaches say box out, they don't coach doing it. They say set a pick, they dont work the actual mechanics of setting a good one, at least not in the two practices I've been to. The crap we see in games goes on in practice and isn't corrected.

I totally agree Lee could play the three with Gueye, that backcourt could work.

Someone needs to go remind our coach that William Lee has been on the bench for 7 minutes.

Two calls in a row went against us in a span of like six seconds. we got fouled going for a layup on our end and it wasnt called. Going the other way there guy was out of control and ran himself under the basket throwing the ball off the bottom the backboard as he desperately tried to make a play and we were called for a foul.
