Have to wonder if odds in our favor for WNIT.........it's a 64-team that has already announced the following:

2017 Postseason WNIT Field
AQ: BYU - West Coast
AQ: Central Michigan - MAC
AQ: Colorado State - Mountain West
AQ: IUPUI - Summit
AQ: Mercer - Southern
AQ: Morehead State - Ohio Valley
AQ: New Hampshire - America East
​AQ: Rider - Metro Atlantic
AQ: UC-Davis - Big West
AQ: Wright State - Horizon
AQ: Automatic Qualifier

Last year's WNIT included: Eastern Michigan, Ball State, and Ohio -- which all won first-round games -- plus Central Michigan and Akron which lost despite getting to host in first round. Ohio hosted and won first and second round games before losing at Temple.

Some potential first-round opponents for NIU or other MAC teams:
Saint Louis, Iowa State, Indiana, Purdue, Michigan State, Penn State, Northwestern, Western Kentucky or Middle Tennessee, Wright State, Oakland (MI), UW-Milwaukee, Northern Iowa, Missouri State, Southern Illinois, Morehead State, St. Francis (PA), East Tennessee State, IUPUI, South Dakota State or South Dakota.

They were already in WNIT before this game was even played.

They will play in NIT. Will be announced Monday night. Hopefully somewhere in the region. Iowa? Northern Iowa would be a hoot. Production staff brains melting trying to decipher who is actually NIU/UNI

NIU official for the WNIT. Looks like a good field. Any women's tournament that doesn't have UConn is wide open.

Congrats wbb. If you noticed I was sort of correct. NCAA website had NIU playing as the 10 seed in NCAA tourney when it was actually Northern Iowa. I have a pic of it but not sure how to link it here.
