Kent shot a ton more free throws. That doesn't show up as paint points and many of them were earned inside the arc.
Only 6 of those free throws were taken by post players. 21 were by guards, 11 were by Edwin. I don't recall us posting guards much. I don't have the numbers but I would bet the majority of those FTs came on drives. Now if you're trying to argue that driving and attacking the basket is the same thing as "beating them inside" then I would counter with "starting 4 guards helps making slashing easier".

It really doesn't matter how many "guards" are on the floor or even the height of the players, as long as the five on the floor are the best at getting things accomplished. Look how often in 2002 Huffman, Mitchell, Shaw, Gates and E.T. were on the floor together and Gates was actually only 6'3 1/2" tall. E.T. was 6'4", tops.
