I think u took this a bit personal. You will appreciate SnowTiger as a fan. You showed spirit. She added spirit GIF. All good. Welcome to the board.
My misunderstanding of SnowTiger's message. Thanks and I'm glad to be on board. Together, we get this fan base rejuvenated and pumped for Tiger basketball again. I bleed blue and so in the hell do you! Let's go, Tigers!

Come on...whether they let off the gas or not the Tigers could have just caved in but they fought. I was happy to see guts and heart out there. Jeremiah has more heart and mental toughness than any player on this team. Markel was a no show tonight, which was disappointing. I'm looking forward to next year. Let the Lawson's do what they will. Calling Alex (point guard from East high School) to come on down. Does anyone have any idea about the possibility of our team getting new basketball ? uniforms? A new beginning in Tiger basketball. Let's do this, Tigernation!
UC shooting went from 58% in first half to 38% in the second and 50% from 3 in the first to 22% in the second.
While Tigers went from 50% in 1st half to 58% in 2nd.

What is wee lame is your tired, pathetic man crush on the former basketball coach. I bring no malice or discontemp unlike some of these same old farts with the same old tired rhetoric. Get over yourself, dude! True blue Tiger fans show your support!!

We have got to play both halves.. Played excellent the first half against UConn, laid down an egg the 2nd.. Didn't show up at all in the first half at Cincy, took the fight to them the 2nd.. Also allowed them to many open uncontested 3s.. I know we're not deep but can take the AAC tournament.. Love the hardnose play of Jeremiah.. Come on Markel, o points tonight, really man???..
Dedric Lawson might have played one of his best games ever at Memphis and a chance to get drafted in the second round of the NBA Draft.
IF he always played with the intensity that he showed during a good part of the 2nd half, he would be a 1st rounder. As Elmore mentioned during the telecast, someone has to figure out how to get that switch turned on ALL the time. I am NOT suggesting that he is coasting and not giving effort, but he has another gear that he seldom uses that takes him to another level.
I agree. He and Martin both turned their game up a notch in the 2nd half and it made a big difference. I would like to know what, or who, lit a fire under those guys.

Couldn't be halftime adjustments could it? I'm sure Tubby was taking his customary nap during halftime.

Tigerlands, Tubby has been saying he'd like for Detric to focus more on just scoring. Therefore, I believe it was Tubby who challenged Detric & Jeremiah to step up last night.

No halftime nap at all.
Seems more like he hit Luby's early bird special at about 4:30 and caught that food coma right around tipoff. Likely explains the bad start.

How can any coach turn a program around in his first year? Pastner was given seven years and couldn't coach his way out of a paper bag. I have complete confidence that Tubby will turn this program around. Too many unwarranted critics and not enough demonstrative support. Stop whining/complaining and get your butts to the forum. Love Tubby & the Tigers but I truly believe Tubby needs to part ways with Keelon Lawson and replace him with a big time recruiter. Tubby's a great coach. This Memphis fan base that tolerated and accepted mediocrity at its best with Pastner has the audacity to question and doubt a phenomenal coach. We should be proud to have Tubby Smith but ignorance is indeed bliss. Go Tigers???
Keelon is the Director of Player Development. He's got nothing to do with recruiting, that's done by the three assistant coaches.

Well, they didn't start the 2nd half much different. But they played harder. And I didn't see much difference in other guys. Those two guys alone lifted the team, starting at about the 12:00 mark, so that's not a halftime adjustment. Maybe Cincinnati let off the gas a little and the Tigers noticed it and took advantage of it. I'm sure coaching played a part. Don't know why that same coaching wasn't there from the start.

Keelon's position is not a recruiting position, you can't part ways with Keelon and bring in a recruiter. If Tubby needed to bring in a recruiter he would have to part ways with either Saul, Poo, or Esposito.

Thanks, guys. I'm well aware of Keelon's position. I was merely referring to the usage of his salary to hire a more effective recruiter. Perhaps his assistants just need more time to recruit the type of players that will fit Tubby's style. Go Tigers!
