Read a story about that this morning. Seems the Big12 Conference Office has already put out a statement saying that the Big12 is not actively seeking new members.

One would think that with a $43.1 million athletic budget that Arkansas State could use something a little more sophisticated than Microsoft Powerpoint.

Texas and OU are the Big XII.

Meh, let them talk. Then let them, maybe take Houston and Cincy. Then watch the AAC raid other conferences and eventually CUSA loses 2 of their best programs....and no one leaves the Belt.

We just took Idaho's presentation and changed the names.

You don't keep a $43.1 million dollar budget going by wasting most of it on fancy graphics.

SBC and CUSA reshuffle into two equal conferences

New SBC (12 small town powers)
East: GS, App, JMU, Marshall, Coastal, MTSU
West: StAte, UL, La Tech, USM, WKU, Troy

New CUSA (12 big city schools)
East: ODU, GAST, UNCC, FIU, FAU, UAB
West: USA, TXST, UNT, UTSA, UTEP, NMSU

The Big 12 couldn't come to a consensus before...why will it happen this time?

Solid point. Idaho boosters know a school president who might be just the ticket for your line of thinking. I can check to see if he's available. No, never mind -- just look for a large box mailed to the doorstep of the Arkansas State president's office. We'll try to remember to poke some air holes in it.

I hope we don't get a new shuffle like that. I wouldn't want to see South in a division with Texas and New Mexico Teams. It would hurt home attendance and most fans wouldn't travel that far for a road game.

Arkansas State and Missouri State package to the Big 12. Clearly the best for the Big 12 right there.

Why would USM leave CUSA?

JMU is to far out of the footprint.
