As much as football moves the needle, good basketball gets you alot of attention in this state.

When I was in the Army at Ft Bragg I went to many college hoops games. Also went to the ACC & Big South conf tourneys every year. Saw some great hoops 95-98 in NC.

I though there were 22.

This is why Charlotte is annoyed at Price after a season and a half.

I'd rather dance than bowl.

The thing about dancing is, no matter how difficult the path, you legitimately have a shot at a national title. In football they just pick their four. It would be like going with the consensus picks for nationwide brackets of the four teams to make the final four and just skipping the rest of the tournament. I love pretty much all college sports, but basketball is my favorite.

I remember when Niner fans got pissed at the 6BC label, mainly from Memphis fans I think. Now, I'd take that in a heartbeat.

Pissed may not be the correct word, maybe annoyed works better. I think that came about around the same time Calipari was complaining that Charlotte made the NCAAs instead of Memphis even though we beat Memphis that season.

No we have never played, they went DI I believe 2 or 3 seasons ago....They are immediately pretty good in their conference, took a kid not far from BG we could have used this season that is doing well for them as a freshmen...

You are right. I thought Coastal was in NC.

And I'm thinking it was Presbyterian Blue Hose, which I "thought" was in NC. Really in SC

Coastal is in South Carolina.
