Thats just it. Its not that he said it. Its fine as a host to speculate on the radio about whatever your opinion is on whatever. But he hyped it as this big breaking news story. Its not. Its just speculation about what "might" happen. Markel, Dedric, KJ and Keelon dont even know how it will play out. It wasnt a bombshell. Thats my issue with it. I ran out to my car to listen and it was garbage stuff we all already knew and have been hearing for weeks.

Point is Dedric will make $100K max overseas next year; you throw out a number and a player who chose to leave NBA and could still play in the league; a dozen teams would take him right now.

It'll be interesting to see what effect the increased G-League salaries will have on the college basketball landscape.

I think a lot of guys look at that option more seriously. Maybe even out of HS (if allowed)

Im not emotional about it. I want my program back as much as anyone. But this situation gets ickier every year. If its even true that this is a negotiation play, which it may very well not be. Im over the Lawson era is all im saying.

I think one could reasonably feel that way without it being an emotional response.

When you make one player or coach or player's family bigger than the program then you are asking for trouble. At some point you have to stand up and say the program is bigger than any one player and then you have to go out and work your but off to prove it.

I hope Tubby is ready to go out and work his but off.
