On the campaign trail, Trump regularly highlighted crimes committed by undocumented crimes and embraced the families of the victims of those crimes. Now, there will be a permanent office within ICE to carry on that message.

The Victims of Immigration Crime Engagement Office, or VOICE, establishes a process to keep victims and their families informed about the status of criminal cases against the undocumented immigrants and any followup deportation proceedings. The new orders eliminate protections that had been granted to undocumented immigrants under the federal Privacy Act, meaning ICE will now publicly distribute information about these cases.

"I direct the Director of ICE to immediately reallocate any and all resources that are currently used to advocate on behalf of illegal aliens...to the new VOICE Office," Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly wrote in one directive.

My question is: Of those that have been sent back what will keep them from re-entering? We've seen cases where the culprits re-enter as many as six times. The transgender that was arrested in El Paso comes to mind, and of course many, many others. Has that scenario been addressed?

Well for one thing knowing there is a renewed emphasis on deportation may be one thing preventing them from returning. Nothing will keep a determined illegal from coming back, but knowing that ICE is no longer handcuffed may make them at least think twice.

The end to catch and release, and the building of additional prisons along the border. There's not much incentive not to cross when you get released to roam the streets of San Francisco. There's incentive not to cross if your ass gets thrown in a prison on the border.
