A lot changed in that 10 years. The BCS had 6 leagues with autobids. Now there's just 5, headed towards 4.

CUSA was THE best non-power league during that period. They had ranked teams playing in prime time weekly on ESPN. Now, were on beIN and ASN hoping if we win 10 or more games we can sneak into the top 25.

And imagine if we had another decade of uncapped student fees. Maybe we would already be in a new stadium. Maybe it would be on the water. Maybe it would seat 40k. Who knows. But a lot has changed in the last 10 to 15 years of college football. That gap is immeasurable right now.

And FWIW, UCF started their program in 1979. That's an additional 30 years on us. USF should count themselves lucky that UCF needed a travel partner.

Nailed it. But I'd say that USF was more than lucky. They took the step that we didn't have the heart to take. And 10 - 15 years is showing great benefits for them and we're unfortunately seeing the challenges that moving our school backward to a CAA/ECAC-South level has created for us.
