Did he decide what part of town he is living in? Some will consider that a negative.

I agree with you completely that a board like this is a good place to discuss player moves because that's what fans are supposed to do in the off season. That is the right, duty, obligation and prerogative of being a fan of a football team. I do, however, think you're being too harsh with automatically labeling this move a "negative" as it relates to the coaching hire simply because you don't like it. It's early. Give the guy a chance. It's an interesting move worthy of discussion but it hardly rates as a negative yet until it plays out on the field. You could be right or you could be wrong. As for me, I like the move. But that's just my humble opinion. We'll see what happens in the fall.

I reserve judgment until I've, you know, seen a single play coached by this staff. So far he has stuck the landing each step of the way.

Hell, people initially hated the decision to move Barwin to DE. It was drama round here. Oops.

I agree, and if you notice I refer to myself in a later post as myopic for doing so. I call it a negative, because everything up till this point imho has been a positive. It is not an attack on the guy, just an interesting move that I at first was skeptical about. It appears to me that some people are here to talk UC football, and several others are hanging onto every poster's word for a junior high zinger opportunity.

He was, but he never developed in that niche under Ctt. I think Bearcat Man said it best. If we go to a 3 man front than Mouhon's job will not be much different than last years position.

I would expect the eastside, where the best Catholic Schools are. Summit K-12, Ursuline, St. Ursula for girls. St. X for boys.

Hyde Park has some nice homes with easy commute to campus and the kids to Summit CD.

Technically, St. X is on the west side so the boys will have to go to Moe.

Is it bad that I watched like ten of our 12 games last season and could probably only name 5-10 players on the team? Shows me how uninspiring the team was under tubbs. I'm excited to be excited about bearcat football again.

I noticed this too. During the Kelly/Jones years there were so many players I rooted for both on and off the field. Players I really idolized. Maybe it's just me getting older, but there's really no one from last year's roster I "cared" about in that sense, with the one exception being the third string QB.

Just curious, did you have an opinion in Kay v. Legeux?

Quit while you're ahead rosewater. Maybe you should have put a question mark at the end of your thread title. For starters.

Man I hate when the guy the University is paying around $2M a year makes changes to a team that went 4-12 last year. Especially one that was TERRIBLE against the run. They were 75th against the run, averaging over 4 yards per carry throughout the season.

At least wait until Spring Ball to start complaining about dumb things like this.

For the record, I understand that they're looking at Montgomery/ Sycamore area and parochial schools (rather than SCD, for example).

CHCA or Moeller would make sense in that case.

Moe is my guess. The Fickell's are devoutly Catholic. I was at some function in the last month or two and heard that he wanted to send his children to a school that had similar values of DeSales. Also, I would imagine Doug Rosfeld has put in a good pitch for his alma mater.

I am curious to see whether John Tenuta's son transfers to a Cincinnati area high school for his senior year. Luke Tenuta is a three star defensive end (6'7, 250 lbs).
