Listen carefully please. NO ONE is complaining about the cost of the SS for protection alone. What's becoming an issue is the frequency of the trips causing the extra travel costs.

If he's going to fly his whole team down to Florida every weekend while his wife and kid are in New York and his grown children are in foreign lands lining the family coffers, these costs are going to be way out of hand.

C'mon guys...you're supposed to be conservative. You spent years decrying every Obama expenditure. Now, in one month Trump is on pace to outdo an entire average year of spending by Obama. Just be honest...that's all anyone is asking.

Uhm.. only john mentioned the fact about the frequency of the trips, Tom. Everything else has been about the costs/savings discussions.

As noted, this last was the end of a junket though into SC and such. so I don't think you can use that one if you're wanting to change the argument.

Would I rather not see him make so many trips? Sure.. I'd like to know he's in Washington doing his job... but if his job takes him to Florida, we just have to deal with it.

Obama spent $97 million on vacations in 8 years. Trump is up to $24 million spent in 10 weeks now. So at this rate, he'll pass $100 million in his first year. But at Owl 69 loves to say, I wish he was always on vacation, and not working ones either.
