HAYES CAPTURES CONFERENCE CROWN NO. 50

had just finished reading an article by Doug Smock in the Charleston (WV) Gazette Mail marveling at the tenure of MT's basketball and football coaches. He obviously missed the tenure of our track coach whose been at MT since 1965.

The man is a living legend in the track world. One of my favorite sports to cover back when I worked in the dept. A truly wonderful individual too.

Obviously few people ever follow track, why he missed it, but this is a heck of an accomplishment.
