You can practice as hard as you want, but if you aren't practicing the right things the right way it doesn't matter a damn. We don't do basic, fundamental things correctly. We don't box out, we don't close out on opposing shooters, we help off of the opposing teams best shooters, consistently. We seldom deny the entry pass to the post. We only occasionally show effort, and all of that is just the basic basketball 101 stuff we don't do on the defensive end, and all of it is a direct result of poor coaching.
Or maybe he is coaching them to do that and they aren't doing it.
Just a thought.
Either way it's on Ehsan...these same guys won 26 games and the conference title last year...fans screamed we MUST keep the players together - that's the ONLY reason he was hired...so THESE GUYS wouldn't transfer...and it has blown up in everyone's face...we should have let the players who wanted to leave --> LEAVE...Ehsan has ABSOLUTELY TORCHED his honeymoon period - it's over...this garbage won't cut it "for 3 or 4 more years"...if he's back next year there better be MAJOR improvement and some serious recruiting - but Lee and Cokley both return and he can't reach either of them on a regular basis now...think that changes next year?...what about in 2 more years when Lee and Cokley are gone?
Something tells me you are PISSED OFF. And that YOU THINK hiring COACH EHSAN was a BAD IDEA.
All WE KNOW is that HINDSIGHT is always 20-20, and YOU MIGHT be right, but you ALSO MIGHT NOT.
What we do know is that MANY TRUE FANS, are going to continually blame THE FANS WHO DEMANDED, for this season, and THE F_CKING THING ISN'T OVER YET.
We lost a guy that got Hasse a mil a year at Stanford and the on the floor leader 10 minutes into the season.
What is it you want ? A time machine ? Special healing powers ? A self help tape for Rob that'll give him John Wooden's knowledge in a week ?
None of that crap is going to happen. So please quit assessing blame.
Are you always this dramatic?...this isn't about you...or blame - it's about UAB's basketball program...we were preseason #1 and here we are at 15-13 (8-7) in a GARBAGE league and you think the season isn't over?...bet your bottom dollar - the season is absolutely "F_CKING" over.
NOTE: And for the record five of those wins were vs Ark-PB, Troy, Alabama A&M, Miles and Southern
You're the one with the stuck caps lock button.

Right about now Ray is calling Smithers to drive him to the ER, something about that whole "if an erection lasts more than four hours" thing.

Ray wouldn't be more pleased with our fan base being OK with a s*** team?

Not so subtly implying someone is happy with the turn of events so far in 2016-17.

On Thursday, it looked like Tyler may have been having some lower back issues. He kept a pack on his lower back the entire time he wasn't in the game at Marshall.

RE: WKU Game thread
I'm not sure what's more of a trainwreck, the season or the division on whether Ehsan is the reason for the team struggling.
That said, thank you #BlazersForEhsan or whatever the dumb hashtag was that brought this upon us. It's funny that people are blaming Ingram on this, because if he hadn't hired Ehsan, there would have been a revolt by the fans. It's hilarious to me that we likely won't have a winning conference record, in one of the worst conferences in College Basketball.

RE: WKU Game thread
Let's keep the whining and bickering on subject. DO NOT cross the lines into personal attacks.
Everyone needs to take a deep breath and realize, while none of us are happy (with the possible exception of Blazer4life14 who oddly finds losing hilarious), it is a game...not worth getting so worked up over. There is plenty of blame for the state of the program to go around. The coaches and players are equally to blame for the recent results.
Life is too short to short-circuit over a basketball slump.
I think Coach Shoop said it best today, "The stuff off the field, in the end, is a lot more important than what happens on the field."
