North Dakota week - game 1 thread
This is a HUGE series for the Broncos. UND is 3 points back of us.

We need a big, loud crowd and energy in Lawson tonight.

GO BRONCOS!! 04-cheers

North Dakota gets a short handed goal with about 1:30 left in the period.

1 - 0 after one period.

That was some of the best pressure I've seen our Broncos exert all year. Had UND back on their heels.

Keep up the pressure. 2 - 1 Broncos.

2 - 1 Broncos after two. Need a great third period. We need to beat them at Lawson for a change.

Just got game on to catch last two goals. Huge win. The empty seats look bad on TV. Need to keep winning.

I've seen a lot of WMU hockey games over the years. This one is definitely in my top five games. It will mean a heck of a lot more if we win tomorrow. That would be a real statement, and one that could really keep things going for these young men. Play the fight song.

I would agree about the top five games that the second period was amazing. I just laughed at the minute or so before Rebrys goal, when WMU kept cycling their players and North Dakota just couldn't get it clear. WMU just kept hammering them and keeping it in. Nice, nice nice. Even nicer with the goal as I had Sioux/Hawks to the left of me, to the right of me and in front of me. (Would have preferred those empty seats referred to above.)

Nice win over a team that has had our number at Lawson-8 wins for UND to 0 for the Broncos, UNTIL TONIGHT!

Now, let's make it a sweep!

RE: North Dakota week - game 1 thread
I'm so happy about the win, which is the important part

But, I'm so, so disappointed in the lack of attendance. There is absolutely no excuse and reason why this rink should not have been filled tonight. It's a total failier on the part of the University to Market this event and this team, who certainly deservise this communities full support. Facility seats half empty, hundreds of seats on the west side of the rink empty, several hundred more on the east side and bowl end, so very disappointed and after spending over 35 years in marketing and advertising I can honestly say the Univesity is just not doing a good job putting butts in the seats. And when I say University, im not sawing the players/coaches, as they are clearly doing their part.

Should be the easeyist seats to sell in Kalamazoo right now, any thing other than standing room only is a total failer on the Univeristy part. So very disappointed, players, coaches, staff and community deserves so much more. No excuse other than people not doing their job.

If their is anyone from the Univerity reading this post, please enlighten us as to what was the marketing plan this week to fill the rink?

If we were playing a bad MSU or Um team rink would not have those empty seats. At least not nearly as many. People will never appreciate to "hockey schools".
