Hugo Chavez called CNN fake news long before he died. His country just banned CNN Espanol from Venezuela. Trump's attacks reminds me of Communist dictators railing against the media.

Yes, they both treated CNN the same way. What Trump is doing is damaging the 1st Amendmendment Rights of Free Speech for the press.

I don't think so. The press can still report whatever they want. Trump is just pointing a spotlight on how the media slants their reporting of the news.

The media needs to understand that they just don't hold the same power they once did. If they did, Hillary would be the president. The media can't just spoon feed their opinions to the voters of America and dictate public opinion anymore. I know the media really wishes Trump would stop twitting, and turn to them to get his message out, but that is just not going to happen. The media needs Trump. He doesn't need them.

Trump is a very smart man. He threw the MSM's credibility on the floor in public leaving them in a defensive position. Remember, this was after they continued to sensationalize his ties to Russia like he is a double-agent that helped sway his election and said his administration was in "chaos." That is disgraceful! He then hits the road to stir up his supporters who don't give a rat's tookus about CNN to promote jobs, jobs, jobs. The common person in our country cares about putting food on the table and not what CNN spoon feeds en masse. CNN isn't wearing a badge of honor, they are kicking and screaming because their time of unfettered power and access has come to an end.

Fox News actually reported fake news, and then took the false news down off their site, and never apologies for it. I have seen CNN anchors made corrections on air, and apologies for their mistakes.

Same here, except when it comes to welfare. Once I got out on the street and dealt with welfare recipients on a regular basis for 20 years my opinion drastically changed.

Welfare recipients should work for their money. It can be done for the majority of them. I know how to do it.

It is sad that every national news network insists on cobbling their agenda around a few facts and proclaim it to be the news. If these news organizations would just report the facts and leave their biases at home, we wouldn't even need a thread about this subject. There is no need to try and promote a viewpoint. People can choose a position on their own.

I wouldn't go so far as to call it fake news, but it is certainly "tainted" news.

And this is precisely what he called for/suggested in his epic presser.

For a group whose livelihood is predicated on credibility, they sure have screwed the pooch with all their slanted pieces.

If they have no credibility - those with functioning brains no longer tune in and pay attention......all they are left with are
the lemmings that lap it up.

We can see by this thread that the lemmings still exist, but it still means lower ratings.
