My first memories of the then WWWF were during the Bruno Sammartino/Pedro Morales era (both of them are now gone). At the time Morales was the Intercontinental Champion (back when the title meant something). He was at the end of his career, but was a huge draw in NYC due to the large Puerto Rican population.

I saw Bundy wrestle in person several times. He was a wide bodied man-- 6'4 450 lbs. His legs were the size of tree trunks. Always played the heel, I've always heard he was one of the nicest guys you'd ever meet off camera.

Here's a match where he teamed up with Rick Rude to take on Jerry Lawler and Macho Man Randy Savage in Memphis back in 1984. All but Lawler are now dead.

I remember him well from WCW. Dude was a great talent and could still put on a hell of a match.
