RE: Largest blown lead since?
I watched Huggins' West Virginia team lose a 14 point lead with about 2:30 left in the game against Kansas, so it happens. Yes, I know UConn isn't Kansas, but we're not West Virginia either.

Whatever the lead gets to, it won't be enough for this team with no shooters and no drivers to keep up for eight minutes while spotting the other team 22 seconds on offense every time down the floor. You take 30 seconds to run your stuff and try to get a good shot, I'll take 8, and we'll see who wins. The 2007-08 team? Maybe so. This team? Bad idea. Bad, bad, bad idea.

How many shot clock violations did we have in this game? That could have been a record.

I was there and witnessed it first hand. One of the worse days of my life as a Tiger fan. Literally felt sick as I left the arena. Still get that kick in the gut feeling every time I think about it.

In the 70s, I remember watching on tv the tigers blow a 24 point lead and losing. This was before the 3 pts shot. So, these types of leads were insurmountable.
I want to say the game was vs. va tech in blacksburg. but, I am not sure.

In Louisville game in 2012, Memphis had a 14 point lead.

I can't find anything else that crazy.

I'm thinking the game at the Pyramid vs. UTk in 1997 when the fight broke out. Memphis had a pretty big lead (28-12??) but I can't find any actual stories that show that.

Any other games come to mind?

Refresh my mind re the 97 fight.

My bad, the 1999 game. UTK was #13. Memphis up 20-10, CJ Black and James Harris got in a scuffle and were ejected. Kelly Wise and Paris were also ejected for coming off the bench. Memphis got the lead to 26-11 but then slowly let the lead go away.

I have no recollection of that at all for some reason. I guess I'm just old.

The fact there was a fight between UT and Memphis players. It was Tony Harris' 2nd trip to Memphis after winning his fr. and soph. years vs. Memphis 68-66 and 68-67.
