“It is crazy what we’re watching every day. It’s absolutely crazy,” Smith said on the network. “He keeps repeating ridiculous, throwaway lines that are not true at all and sort of avoiding this issue of Russia as if we’re some kind of fools for asking the question. Really? Your opposition was hacked and the Russians were responsible for it, and your people were on the phone with Russia on the same day it was happening, and we’re fools for asking the questions? No, sir. We are not fools for asking this question, and we demand to know the answer to this question. You owe this to the American people. Your supporters will support you either way. If your people were on the phone, what were they saying? We have a right to know. We absolutely do, and that you call us fake news and put us down like children for asking these questions on behalf of the American people is inconsequential. People deserve that answer, at very least.”
I think this is what it must have been like to live in Louisiana when Edwin Edwards was governor. I wish he would knock this crap off and get to the things that I like about him--lower taxes, reduce regulations, attract or re-attract investment and businesses and jobs. If he can bring jobs back to the Rust Belt, he's a two-termer unless he totally screws the pooch somewhere.
Here's the thing. He's pissing off the elitists, particularly the left wingers. But the folks who voted for him are loving this. Trump's not an idiot, he's an a-hole. He does what he does not because he's an idiot but because he's an a-hole. It's a bizarre phenomenon.

Did he do anything wrong? It's not known he lied to the FBI. There are reports he was truthful with them. Kind of like Hillary lied and lied an lied then told the FBI the truth. So far all we know is he lied to the VP. He may have committed crimes but as of yet we don't know.

Rogue on what? There was nothing wrong with having the conversation. He can talk to Russian officials. What was said? As of right now all we have are vague accusations or implied possible accusations from left leaning media outlets.

Should the House and Senate have investigations into the Russian Trump ties and the DNC hacking scandal?
At this point, what is there for them to investigate?
At this point, we're kind of long on allegations and short on facts. Let's find some facts first.
You're treating to turn this into the democrats' version of what you say republicans did with Benghazi.

No disagreement there.
FBI has already reviewed them and said no problem. What if they're right. Then what?

Read that Jesters Court post I just made. This thing goes deeper than what many of us want to believe. There will be no investigations.

No, not at all.
If you find that funny, then perhaps you could tell me what there is besides hyperbolic allegations.
The thought process I see is as follows. Hillary lost the election that she was destined to win. Therefore, some nefarious force must have intervened to sabotage the election. Must be the Russians. So if we just probe every connection with the Russians enough, we will obviously find the smoking gun.
You've jumped to the conclusion first and are now trying to find facts to fit it.

Flynn lied to the FBI. That's a crime. It also looks like he violated the Logan Act. Hacking the DNC's computers is a crime. For a guy who was so adamant that Hillary broke the law that sentence above is odd.
When did Flynn lie to the FBI?
What has been said is he lied (or mis-remembered) to the Vice-President.

When Bill Clinton got reelected it became obvious most Democrats didn't care about morals or propriety. When Trump won the Republican nomination, the same became obvious about Republicans. Both were big surprises to me.
