I see several teams ranked ahead of them ( Boston College, Iowa State, La. Tech, and Wyoming) that I think the Rockets would probably knock off...

And also just out of the top half of all top Division college football teams. If you are a G5 school and lose your bowl game nobody is going to give you any love in the pre-season polls the following season. However, I will be disappointed if they don't finish the year better than that next year.

I guess coming in no better than second in your division of a weak conference for 10+ years has lost its luster.

La Tech was good last year... one of the best offenses in the G5. ISU is improved and will be better yet again next season. These things should not be a surprise. With a Kareem Hunt, Mike Roberts, and Logan Woodside offense we went 9-4 and lost our bowl game to the SBC co-champ. Why are we expecting to be rated higher? 80% on this board believe we will be a 6 to 8 win team next year???? I'm not saying we won't be great, because I have hope for the D and returning offensive players... but because an outsider rated us 56th from the bottom of college football, am I mad? Not at all.
80 teams went bowling.... 70 is safely in another bowl game???

With this 2017 team coming up I'm with Terry on this one. No reason this should not be a 10 win plus season...

I see us having 10 + win this season, can't see anyone in MAC we can't beat, Should be a great year with some of the new freshman coming in.

Not drinking the Kool-Aid. 7 wins at best.

Miami and Tulsa will be VERY tough... so that means 8-0 against the MAC.

I think we're closer to your 7-win team than we are to a 10-win team. My very early prediction is 8-4.

Tulsa loses a lot. The U loses 18 Seniors and 5 starters declare early for
the NFL including QB Brad Kaaya, TE David Njoku.

7-5, with this defense we will be a little better than average in the MAC. Even if this class produces some great players they will still be freshman next year. O line will be average too....
