I know full well what everyone is capable of. That's why we strike while the light is firmly on all of them. Negativity hurts in more ways than you guys can imagine, yes even here. I'll leave it at that.

RE: If UConn leaves the AAC then....
The only thing I've read about UCONN leaving is that they want to leave the AAC in basketball but still play in the AAC for football. That's not going to happen so this is a moot discussion.

As for UAB moving up, I don't see it happening without a stadium deal in place. Apparently that's supposed to happen. I won't hold my breath.

Considering it won't happen tomorrow I would not hold my breath either.

Who besides Old Dominion, Charlotte, Southern Miss or Army?

Air Force is too far west and I don't think Georgia State is ready.

If you go TV markets would it be 1. Charlotte and 2. Birmingham and 3. Norfolk (ODU)?

What will be the status of a new UAB stadium in 2 years?
Our market is bigger than all 3 of those mentioned combined and we are spending $300M as we speak including renovation of Turner Field as GSU Stadium and we have 53k students.

I like our chances.

Because they want a Landing lace for FBS football and they would be replacing one team. JSU wants in but troy is clock blocking them. (See what I did there?)

Because that's the next step up (regardless if you believe it ) and the Atlanta market makes perfect sense for cusa to replace Birmingham. Fans don't make the decision.

Nope, Presidents and money boosters make that decision. We are not making that lateral move. AAC has always been the goal. You does that spend $300M to end up playing FIU and LA Tech. The good part is I do think see UConn actually leaving.

I would personally love AAC. Heck if nothing else, I have nostalgia for the old CUSA teams

On the other hand do not see enough new revenue to increase
the operating budget the needed 15 million or so(average AAC)
I will probably feel better if football ticket sales go up as much
as Some expect

If their next TV contract does not go UK significantly it will end the dream for a lot of schools who wanted in the Big Easr/AAC.

Panama, I don't see *anyone's* contract going up significantly, and that is doubly true outside of the P5. Too much cord cutting going on. ESPN's revenues have taken a beating recently. CUSA was unfortunate enough to be the first to renegotiate under the new budget status, and we got strafed.

UConn would be insane to leave the AAC unless they have a stone cold lock on a better place to land. Including a signed contract.

Yes. And that would have to include football. The Big East is best for all their other sports (especially basketball) but there is nothing already made that they could join for football. As independent in football they could write long term contracts with UMass and perhaps Army, but to put together something at least equal to the AAC they would have to convince teams to split off from the AAC (Navy? Cincinnati? ECU?) and then those schools would need new landing spots for basketball. Too many moving parts.
