Not like we don't have a running back that can go toe to toe with yours.
And we had the defensive player of the year.... guess we will have the best defense too?
No, you didn't.
stAte had the player of the year for the whole Sun Belt, (offense or defense) and he happened to be a defensive player... and he returns for his senior season.
Rashad Dillard was the 2016 Defensive player of the year. So yes we did. You might have had player of the year but my fact still stands.
They just threw Rashad a bone.
He was not truly the defensive player of the year

Whatever man...they both deserved it in one way or the other and this is the conferences way of awarding them both.
But you are wrong that we did not get defensive player of the year.
Reguardless I don't even understand why you are arguing with me about this because it's not even the point of my arguement.

The biggest problem will be the offensive line. Troy had a pretty good one last year. That really helped the running game and Silvers looked too poised in the pocket. If the O-line plays like last year then Troy will be hard to beat.

We have one of the best, if not the best, O-Line coach in the country. I have zero worries. He had massive success at MTSU, LATECH, and Texas Tech, and Troy. This year should be no different in year three under Brown/Moore.

We hear and read this same stuff every year. And yet, shockingly, many of you will act surprised when we once again win another Sun Belt title...

One time in the last six years. Wow. Really great prophets. Say it enough and sooner or later it will come true. But please don't try to fool people into thinking it was anything but homerism. We all have that. Of course one team here has backed that up 5 of the last 6 years(yeah I know some are tired of reading that....why else would I include it).

Lighten up Francis. Don't dish it out if you can't take it. By the way, we have not been around 6 years. I don't know what happened or was predicted prior to '14.

Silvers is a very good QB. Seen it two years in a row now. And Chunn is a load. Troy certainly has a chance to be the top offense in the conference. So wo we and some other schools. I'll take my chances with Lamb and Moore. Time will tell. It's gonna be another exciting year. Happy to be a part of the Fun Belt!

App gets Upshaw back this year and redshirt freshman Williams is looking good in spring ball. App will continue to have as much talent as anyone at RB and if a couple of the redshirted WRs step up, the offense may be more balanced than last year.

Henderson will provide a third down back dimension that Troy has not had since Brown arrived on campus. This will make his offense even more explosive and provide one more big play weapon to a roster stacked with perimeter playmakers. Troy led the Sun Belt in scoring last season and those numbers could get a significant bump this upcoming season with the addition of Henderson.
This Troy offense took a big step forward in 2016 as Chunn emerged as the most physically imposing back in the conference and QB Brandon Silvers became a capable passer in the pocket. Troy is loaded at receiver and they return all of the production from 2016. With the emergence of Henderson, this offense suddenly becomes super scary and explosive. The Trojans could be sitting on a powder keg entering the fall and should put up points on anyone they face. There are questions to answer up front, but it’s hard to imagine this not being the best offense in the Sun Belt.
