She has a history of heart problems in her family. Her dad had 3 surgeries in the past and her brother who is younger had a heart attack and bypass in the last couple of years. She was having pain in her chest last week. Got sick at practice and was going to get thru the season then go to the dr.
Her husband got her to go to fgh. She was tested and it was not her heart, a ct showed a mass in her lung. The did a needle biopsy of the mass that came back malignant. She had a pet scan done yesterday that confirmed the mass had NOT spread to her lymph nodes.
She goes to a dr a umc tomorrow hopefully to schedule a surgery. They have robotic capabilities that arent available here.
Joye is not making the florida trip this weekend. Not sure how long she will be out but the last 3 games are at home.
