I realize that they would lose some Saturday games due to SECtion, and the SEC would be splitting CFP money 16 ways instead of 14, but would those two schools think about that step because the C-USA TV deal is not good, especially compared to the SEC. However, C-USA would be splitting the money less ways then so it would be a small advantage in that department.

I mean, anything's possible. But I don't think that Charlotte or UTSA would be interested in such a lateral move. The SEC network does not have a heavy internet presence at all and many of the schools aren't in major markets. That combined with the fact they'd be losing conference games in Virginia and West Virginia mean UTSA and UNC-C would probably face a pretty heavy downgrade in visibility. Recruiting could take a hit as well, since currently the SEC only has half as many schools in Florida, and only a QUARTER as many schools in Texas. Not a good sign.

I can understand why some people would think it's a pretty decent move, but once you start really analyzing the situation it becomes pretty apparent that it just isn't a good fit.
