Elon comes into the Convo tomorrow leading the Dukes by a game for first place in the CAA standings. Only loss for Elon was by the Dukes a few weeks ago. Another victory tomorrow would help put the Dukes in the drivers seat for the 1 seed in the CAA Tournament.

Game is at 3:00 and we need a large and loud crowd tomorrow. Duke Dog Reading Day so hopefully all the kids will help fill the Convo and make noise. Time to show Elon what a real large crowd looks like, not like the 1600 or so that filled their gym when the Dukes were there. We need 4000 to 5000 fans screaming their heads off to support the Lady Dukes.

Will be there in my usual spot next to the band tomorrow ROOTIN!!

They are playing really well right now... 26-15. I havent had a chance to watch them in a while and really like the progression. Really like how they've come together as a team.

Lot of fight in the Phoenix, but the Dukes take it 61-54

This was a huge win because we know hold the tie-breaker over Elon, having swept them this regular season. We stand alone as the #1 seed. It's a bit frustrating to have been swept by the current #7 team Towson.

Up next JMU has three road games at:

#8 UNC Wilmington (last meeting 73-51 win)
#6 Charleston (have not played so far)
#3 Drexel (last meeting 54-47 win)

followed up by 2 home games against:

#5 William & Mary (last meeting 79-64 win)
#6 Charleston (have not played so far)

We're playing the middle of the pack in our conference for the remainder of the season and Drexel is the toughest remaining game.

As devoted fans, we are so spoiled!

A final period come-back ... for a victory over Elon ... on our home court ... is not a common event.

On to the playoffs and the NCAA Tournament ...

Just got home from the game. Big win for the lady Dukes over Elon. Amber had a monster game as did Savannah. Did great work on the boards. She and Amber are playing so much more smoothly now.

P Hall had a bad night scoring until the end of the 4th quarter when she hit a couple of key shots and some FT's to help lock up the game. Although her scoring as off she had a great game by dishing out 5 assists to help keep drives going.

Overall solid effort by the Dukes to take both ends of the series with Elon.

Next three games will be on the road. Wife and I will be making a road trip to UNCW Friday and then to Charleston to visit a friend and watch Sundays game. Should be sitting behind the Dukes bench so if any fans are there stop by and say hello!!

I think Drexel is the second best team in the CAA. Yes they've had more losses than Elon, but they have better wins.

Elon's team is way more talented, but Elon's coach is not nearly as good as Denise at Drexel.

I hope we don't play Towson in our first round game of the CAA tournament. Obviously they match up with us well.
