MAC all tournament tickets
This is poorly advertised, but just a terrific bargain for any MAC hoops junkie.
I paid $55 total for tickets to all 7 men's games and all 7 women's tournament games. The seats are in the endzone in the first row of the second level, but my friends and I almost never sit in those seats. All the women's games are general admission, so sit wherever you want. For the men's games, we generally sit in the club level, often in the first row, and it is a spectacular view. You are looking right at the Cav's gigantic video board which stretches from foul line to foul line.

How much of a bargain is this? Well, if you buy single session tickets, you pay $13 for women and the cheapest men's tickets would be $23 (this includes facilities fees). When Miami used to be good, we would have a group of 5 or 6 guys every year, this year our group is only 3 (Miami is unlikely to send either team to Cleveland). Personally I have attended every MAC tournament since they started ( in Ann Arbor the first year) and the Q is best venue with the best surrounding parking and sports bar and Terminal Tower with a food court and mall and casino.

Obviously, watching 14 college tournament basketball games in 4 days is not for everybody, but for me this is my favorite week of the year, every year. Close, intense games with NCAA tourney bids on the line. Pep bands, cheerleaders, dance team, etc.

Do you have to call to order these or are they available online?

They mail us an order form because we have been getting them for years. I would say you call the Q box office.

I went on-line to order, but there is only an option to buy single-game tickets. I called the Q to inquire and was told the same thing. Any advice?

Wow, great, thanks for letting us know about this and for getting the information for us, Dick. I still can't believe what a great deal this is! I'm looking forward to learning more about it.

RE: MAC all tournament tickets
OK,

My buddy talked to MARK and bought our tickets from him, but no longer has the phone number. In the past he bought the tickets from BOB whose number was 216-420-2161 and from MELA 216-420-2161. These are Quicken Loans Arena ticket representatives. He suggests calling one of those numbers and if Bob or Mela is no longer working there, ask for Mark.

I know this is not exactly a straight path, but with a little persistence it should get you to someone who can sell you the ticket package.

If someone does the legwork, can they post in here who they talked to. I'm personally not interested in the tickets myself as I only attend the semi-final and final (assuming Akron makes it) and I want quality seats for those games. I however do know some people that would be interested in this package and I would like to pass them along the information.

I just got another email from my buddy, and he found the needed information. He bought the tickets from Mark Truesdell 216-420-2069.

RE: MAC all tournament tickets
So this is crazy but true. If you go on-line, you can only buy single game tickets. If you call the main # at the Q, you can only buy single-game tickets. But if you have the top-secret information provided by Dick, you can buy an all-tournament pass (including every men's and women's game) for $73, which includes the $5 processing fee. I first called 216-420-2161 and left a voicemail message. I got a return call from Josh, whose direct number is 216-420-2780. He said that I was welcome to pass his name and number on to others interested in this deal.

Thanks, Dick.

This still blows my mind! $73 for 14 games?!! $5.21 per game!!! I mean, come on! there HAS to be a catch! are the seats in the last row at the top of the Q? i need a wheelchair accessible ticket, so i am guessing that will be the catch that won't allow me to partake, but i am going to call to see if i can get the deal anyway. Thanks so much, Dick (and now Dwight), for bringing this information forward!

I believe some of the packages (lower bowl seats for sure) also include parking for each session as well. I believe the sideline lower bowl seats run $200 each.

You are welcome, but I only paid $55. Perhaps there was an early bird rate. Anyway, once you are on the list, you will probably get contancted in December or January next year. My seats are in the first row of the second deck in the endzone, but we seldom sit in those because womens games are general admission and for most mens sessions you can sit in the club level at midcourt.

yeah that could have been an early bird rate or a rate for long time customers or something. still, I'm not complaining at $73! should be a great time, even if OU doesn't make it to the final. (hopefully we will at least get to the semi's...fingers crossed!)
