According to the poll, “The Trump administration is considered truthful by 49% of voters, to 48% of voters who consider it untruthful. Meanwhile, the news media is considered untruthful by a 53%-majority of registered voters, to only 39% who find them truthful (a 14-point gap).”

As one would imagine, there is a political split in these numbers. Emerson College Polling indicates 89% of Republicans find the Trump administration truthful, versus 77% of Democrats who find the administration untruthful.

When it comes to media, 69% of Democrats find the news media truthful, while a whopping 91% of Republicans consider them untruthful. Independents don’t indicate much trust for either the Trump administration or the media – but trust the Trump administration more by 3% points.

Yea, Hillary Clinton, now that is person who is trustworthy and honest.

I trust Trump to be Trump... His ego and need to always be right is a problem but the man is trying to do everything he said he would.

They are also blaming Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders, Gary Johnson, Jill Stein and others who did went up against Hillary. Even some of Hillary voters have been attacking us who voted for 3rd party candidates. Even Elizabeth Warren slammed Hillary with her Goldman Sach's connections.

Polls are usually useless no matter the target audience.

We shouldn't blindly trust either of them. People either fall into one camp (the media) or the other (trump), which is not surprising. Trump and the media both do their fair share of distorting information. Where Trump is flat out lying, what the media is doing is arguable more insidious: driving people toward partisan world views by using information that is "just short of a lie". It's usually in the form of pointing out X, a bad thing, and distorting it to be perceived as "X + something much worse". If the media can use the power of suggestion over time to shepherd people into thinking only in the extremes (it's easier for us lazy folks), it becomes much easier to sell advertising keep viewership high.
