Glad we won. Ha Ha and Chris could start at a lot of High Major programs. Hopefully they'll have a much improved supporting cast for their senior season.

And I will be willing to be that Cokley and Lee played more than 20 minutes each, tonight, as opposed to the previous game when they sat on the bench for 20 minutes each, not in foul trouble.

I watched most of the game on-line (I'm at home recovering from surgery). I thought UAB played a very good game. Charlotte got rattled and couldn't shoot the ball from outside very well at all. Credit UAB's defense to that.

...and now we turn our attention west to El Paso. UTEP had a double digit first half lead but is now down by 6 to La Tech with 11:49 to go. If they can win the two in Texas we couldn't, they will have a very easy road to the 2 seed.

15 offensive rebounds and a total of 48 rebounds for UAB

Excellent!

UTEP misses a three at the buzzer and La Tech escapes El Paso with a 1-point win.

Blazers now all alone in 3rd 1 game back.

It wasn't a great crowd, but filled in more by game time. You can't judge the crowd of a UAB game until the moment the ball is tipped. Most people don't show up until right at game time.

Cokely was impressive tonight. 9 of 12 shooting is strong. If we can get the Dirk Williams from the 2nd half of tonight's game for the rest of the season, that changes the team dynamic a little. Hopefully he's got some confidence back.

Was it just me or did Bartow seem pretty dead tonight? Wasn't an awful crowd, but it didn't seem like anyone was into the game. Felt eerily quiet compared to how I'm using to hearing Bartow.

I wonder if coach can get that type of effort out of cokley and lee every night? One of them will play 19 mins and take three shots in the next 2-3 games and we'll lose to a team we shouldn't. Can we bring this effort on the road against an inferior team? Until we do those things, we're very mediocre and haven't turned a corner.

We're a very different team when Lee, Cokley, Dirk, and Lavendar play to their abilities. I've never questioned the talent on this team..

Yes, even the chick who sits in front of me and usually stands for 40 minutes may not have ever gotten up. Golden Girls brought the energy when no one else did, have to respect that.

I'm not big on basketball strategy but it looked like Ehsan etc. found a softness inside, Price adjusted, Ehsan called TO and re-adjusted. He wasn't up to that earlier this year.
