If we are talking about legal aliens it would be different but we are talking about illegal aliens whose very existence in this country undermines the rule of law.

Without the rule of law there is no United States. There is no valid moral argument that says being nice is ultimately a positive or that individualized feels is of any importance to the overall picture.

Illegal aliens must quit breaking the law, which is to say they must leave.

Then Jesus said to them, "The Sabbath was made to meet the needs of people, and not people to meet the requirements of the Sabbath.

That might matter if we were a Christian theocracy but we aren't thus it doesn't.

She broke the law multiple times and now she's back where she legally belongs.

No one is denying that she broke the law. The issue here is that she is a human being. Shouldn't her situation be considered in this regard?

Do you really think the law is more important than this person's situation?

Her situation was considered. Multiple times throughout the appeals process. It was determined that her situation didn't supersede the fact that as a convicted criminal she met the criteria for deportation.

We should quit calling them laws and instead make them guidelines. Allow interpretation by appropriate officials. What could go wrong?

That is going on in courthouses all across this country every day. Well Monday-Friday. A father or a mother will stand before a judge and be sentenced to years away from their children, parents, spouse, and friends. All for a choice they made willingly.

Some not realizing they were breaking the law or could go to prison for the crime. Some who committed years before and not repeated it.

But they will be sentenced under the laws of this land. Just as they should. If you don't like the law, fight to get it changed. If this lady was my neighbor, I would feel bad for her. I feel bad for her children, just as I do those whose parents that are sentenced to prison every days in this country.

She made a choice fully understanding what could and probably would happen at some point in her life. If it was just one person or 5 people it's easy to say...

Oh, over look it. Let them stay.

But our laws are set up to make the next person think before acting and committing the same crime. In that you can't let one or five go without all the others that follow.

It has nothing to do with compassion. I think most would feel bad for this lady and her family if they were your neighbor. I do, but I also know we need laws to protect us all.

Change the law if you don't like it. To do that you use your right to vote

RE: Protests at Phoenix immigration office over Mexican woman
"Render unto Caesar what is Caesars and to God what is God's". Jesus was telling them to obey Caesar's laws and to render what is God's law to God. Let me find some more verses on what we should do as citizens of a nation. There's a few. That's why I keep repeating why don't China and other nations not like Christians because we follow the law if we consider ourselves Christians.

Fit, if we ONLY follow laws that appeal to us what do we have? Anarchy. You see a sampling of it all the time in these protests by Liberals even on institutions that push the Liberal viewpoint, i.e. University of Californicated at Berzerkly.

Yes.

The person's situation may impact the sentence, but it shouldn't impact the question of guilt or innocence.

The reason laws exist is because while you may not be able to directly point to the person, 'society' pays a price for unlawfullness. This is not the only person to commit this crime, and if we fail to punish her, it sends the message that (paraphrasing something Owl says a lot) criminal behavior is acceptable if you have a good enough excuse.

No one wants to address the reality that people who live in lawlessness tend to commit or be victims of lawlessness more often? This is often brought forth by the left when speaking about crimes in the inner city, and by the right in theories and studies related to 'broken windows'.

Why does it apply to citizens but not to illegal aliens?

I was taught in school that ignorance of the law is no excuse. Unfortunately, illegals KNOW that they shouldn't cross illegally as they even write songs about it.

If the liberals are wanting conservatives to insert our Christianity regarding our country laws, then I demand Christianity to be the state religion. It is funny; in one thread, liberals are arguing for the shutdown of a voluntary Bible class and here we are supposed to ignore the breaking of our sovereignty for the twisting of Jesus' teaching.

Liberals only use God and Jesus when They are convenient for them.

So contact your representatives and have them pass law that mothers from Mexico that commit felonies get automatic citizenship.

Simple, go for it.
