He does have an impressive shooting % but when you only shoot form 3 feet away and can reach the basket without jumping you're going to make more than miss.

Anyone notice the Bearcat wearing the taco costume? (thought it was funny...)

But I bet the mascot gets a talking to and never wears the taco or anything else even remotely controversial again.

UC in its current sjw sanctuary campus mentally would surely disapprove! Because you know it might be offensive to hispanics and makes fun of an opposing player's name.

Huh?

It was mildly annoying that the announcers kept saying "4 for 4 from the field" (etc.) when each of those three / four / seven shots were two-handed unchallenged dunks.

RE: UCF Game Thread
Wish uc shot better but happy with performance. Ucf doesnt lead the nation in fg% defense by accident. They are really hard to score on inside. If you miss shots it can be a struggle. Uc had a ton of deflections, hit the glass well on defense (other than 5 minutes in the first hair) and made life really hard on Williams (the one guy who could probably nest us if he got hot). Nice win. Let's get smu and basically lock up the conference.

I expect we'll play better the second time around. Having seen their size should make us more comfortable against their defense and I'd bet Gary's late pump fake and drive gave them a good idea on how to attack Tacko. They don't really scare me on offense. I think this is a team we match up really well with given the versatility of our bigs.

Correction - Tacko dunked 100%. Although I think he did have a tip-in or two.

I noticed at the game that there was no broadcast crew at the game.

Is this the new way to save money for ESPN? Not having the crew at the game loses so much in the broadcast.

Yes, they have been doing this the past couple of seasons as a "cost-cutting measure".

It's another ESPN plot to keep the redandblack man down

Nicely done. Kind of like " redandblack games matter".

Well said; bet UC wins by 15 in front of lots of empty seats in Orlando. Maybe our student section from Tulane could join them in Orlando to support the cause?

They've been doing it for two years for a select number of games. They have even done it for some P5 games.

I think this doesn't get enough pub. Not only did Troy have 6 but Jacob also had six plus Cumberland had four. Even though he didn't have any last night Gary in my mind is the best passing post player we've had in the Shoemaker era. This is an outstanding passing team.

Good eye.

In Conf play, UC is now #2 in total assists per game (17.4 per game), just behind SMU's (17.5) while its been a major weakness for UCF, who is last in the conf, averaging only 9.3 assists per conf game.

I want Billy doing color commentary from home. Eastside J will do the play by play there, too. I'll drink and do the stat sheets. All of us blacked out in front of the screen.

It will be like MST 3000 for baked sports fans. I'm on to something here.
