There are still plenty of options, especially if Dedric returns. Players that can play functional roles on a winning team.

If Dedric doesn't return, then you likely need 2-3 more guys just to stay above the .500 line in the AAC.

It appears he has a great feel and touch for a quick looking jump hook and he seems to have a good stroke from around the foul line. I hope they can get him. If they don't it won't be for the lack of effort, because the kid has said at least twice that Memphis is one of a few that contacts him regularly.

RE: Malik Ondigo
Smith, for instance, admitted Monday on his weekly radio show that the Tigers want to add more bulk since they’ve struggled to compete inside most of this season. It's why he spent last Friday night watching 6-foot-10 forward Malik Ondigo, an Arizona native who is currently in the midst of a post-graduate year at Putnam Science Academy (Conn.).

Ondigo is a classic example of a prospect who bided his time and then saw his recruitment take off. While Ondigo had a few high-major scholarship offers after last season, including from Smith when he coached at Texas Tech, he blossomed this winter into one of the most coveted big men left on the board now that Memphis, Pittsburgh, Purdue, Minnesota, Boston College and Kansas State have all joined the fray.

Yes I saw that ^ when it came across my phone. I was wondering if Tubby was recruiting the kid when he was at TT, I'm glad the article indicated that. I also was wondering the same thing about the 6'5 kid from Texas.

So do you think we get the kid?

Honest inquiry for you, since you have been critical of Tubby about his recruiting starting before he was hired...

If we don't land him, what does that tell us? Tubby has a relationship. He and the staff are working him. We have a need. Barring a blue blood getting involved, what would be the reason?

If it's "Tubby can't close the deal" - then why? Give us your opinion on it.

I think the big question is - is this guy priority 1?

If so and they've been on him for 2 years and don't land him then it's a bit troubling.

Hard to know without knowing all the variables.

Certainly seems like they have an inside track but it's gonna get wild in the late period

I tip my hat to you Tiger87, for you got him to answer your question. Evidently I must be on a list of posters the guy despises. Why?, well like Johnny Carson use to say with his stiff jaw..."I did not know that". It's not like I'm Penny Lane. But I have tried being cordial/nice, I've done everything but offer him my seats to a game. Odd to say the least.
