My understanding of college baseball is that the polls don't put as much weight on midweek games because you have funky pitching matchups. Game-to-game results, particularly late-season OOC games, don't hold the same weight that they would in football or even basketball. If ODU goes 4-1 this week, they'll move up, and 3-2 might be enough to keep their spot.

Ugh. I couldn't watch all of that. Major League is one of my all time fav sports movies. The sequels made Godfather 3 look like a great idea.

Baseball is a funny sport. It seems to me that about once out of every four or five games we just don't hit. Hopefully that doesn't happen in the post season!

Was talking about Richmond loss at softball last night. My buddy coaches FC jv baseball team and I told him we lost to the ticks after getting first top 25 in a while and he and a couple others said "that's baseball" nearly in unison.

And Shaun Wood. He hasn't been in the lineup lately. Is he injured as well?
Edit: I see Wood played against UR, but prior to that, his playing time has been reduced significantly.

Well the bats are alive and well today. We are currently crushing FIU in game 1, top of the 6th, 16 to 0.

Pushed 1 more across in the 6th now 17-0, ODU

20 to 0. Thought they used the mercy rule a couple of weeks ago when we went up by 15.
