http://www.caasports.com/news/2016/2/26/...62513.aspx is from last season and says:

"If there is a 3-way tie for third at 11-7 between James Madison, Towson and William & Mary and a 2-way tie for sixth between Northeastern and College of Charleston at 8-10, then the tie for first place will be broken by the team with the highest RPI in the report issued by the NCAA on Sunday, Feb. 28."

The equivalent Sunday this season would be February 26. UNC Wilmington is 26 spots ahead of College of Charleston in the RPI, so UNC Wilmington would probably have the better RPI if they tied with College of Charleston.

I thought they would use RPI but the manual I read from the CAA web site said a coin toss

RE: If it ended today
Actually reading further down I found the RPI tiebreaker you mentioned under the men's basketball section

Thanks for pointing that out

Who would have the NIT ticket?

So if we beat Towson our worst case scenario is #1 seed based on higher RPI tiebreaker over Charleston

RE: If it ended today
Here's what Towson needs to get the 1 seed from a tiebreaker at 13-5:

UNC Wilmington loses hosting Towson and hosting Northeastern
College of Charleston loses hosting Drexel and/or Delaware. If College of Charleston splits, there would be three-way tie at 13-5. If College of Charleston loses both, they would finish 12-6 behind UNC Wilmington and Towson. Towson could get the 1 seed either way.
Towson wins at UNC Wilmington and William & Mary.
William & Mary wins hosting Hofstra and loses hosting Towson.
Elon loses hosting Northeastern and Delaware.

In that case, head-to-head would be 1-1 for UNC Wilmington and Towson or 2-2 for them and College of Charleston. If it was a two-way with College of Charleston in third, UNC Wilmington and Towson would both be 1-1 against College of Charleston and it would go to record against the fourth place team. In the scenario I posted, William & Mary would be fourth at 10-8. Elon would be 9-9. Towson would get the 1 seed because they swept William & Mary and neither UNC Wilmington nor College of Charleston did that. Of course, there's a one in a million chance of all those things happening.

RE: If it ended today
Assuming UNC Wilmington wins the RPI tiebreaker over College of Charleston if it is necessary, seven seeds are guaranteed:

UNC Wilmington 1
College of Charleston 2
Towson 3
James Madison 7
Hofstra 8
Delaware 9
Drexel 10

Elon and William & Mary are 9-8 and Northeastern is 8-9. Because they split three-way head-to-head and Elon is the only one of them to lose both to College of Charleston, Elon would lose any tiebreakers. Northeastern would win all the tiebreakers. William & Mary would finish second in a three-way tiebreaker. Therefore:

If all three of them win or all three of them lose: William & Mary 4, Elon 5, and Northeastern 6
If Elon is the only one of the three to win: Elon 4, William & Mary 5, and Northeastern 6
If William & Mary is the only one of the three to win: William & Mary 4, Elon 5, and Northeastern 6
If Northeastern is the only one of the three to win: Northeastern 4, William & Mary 5, and Elon 6
If Elon and William & Mary win: William & Mary 4, Elon 5, and Northeastern 6
If Elon and Northeastern win: Elon 4, Northeastern 5, and William & Mary 6
If William & Mary and Northeastern win: William & Mary 4, Northeastern 5, and Elon 6

All three of them could be 4, 5, or 6. I hope I did the tiebreakers right.
