What's wrong with having three NFL teams in LA?
Well, Wolff stepped down as managing partner. Presumably that will get the A's behaving more like a real MLB team. But to C2's point, Oakland has been a unique confluence of cash-strapped NFL owner, cheap MLB owner, poor host city, and underperforming teams. Things SHOULD start changing but with the Raiders-to-Vegas deal's (apparent) collapse, the status quo could go on a bit longer.

Wolff's role was to convince his old buddy Selig to let the A's build in San Jose, and obviously Wolff failed. Wolff never had any interest in building any stadium that wasn't tied to Silicon Valley real estate development. For that matter, there's little evidence he had any interest in the team other than as a vehicle for Silicon Valley real estate development.

Interesting - and it explains a lot about the A's.
