Hard to argue against Brady being the best of all time.

Let me preface this by saying I agree Brady is probably the best of all time.

But the rules put in place over the last decade that protect the QB and make it easier to score have certainly helped.

It's so hard to compare across generations, I know, but it's a totally different game today than it was even 10 years ago.

Quarterback statistics of today's players are completely irrelevant compared to previous generations.

However team accomplishments still mean the same, only one team still wins the Super Bowl. Individual accomplishments like 1st team all pro, MVP still mean the same. Pro Bowls are irrelevant with everyone skipping nowadays.

Based on his accomplishments it's hard to argue against Brady. My argument would be that when Brady tore his ACL they still won 11 games. They went 3-1 with him suspended this year. If Drew Brees and Tom Brady were on different situations would the results be that much different? I really don't know.

37 first downs for NE, 17 for Atlanta. NFL is a copy cat league like others. Curious as to why others are not copying their offense more? NE pretty much runs out a bunch of slot receivers, who are lighting quick, often empty backfield. The preference is for the big tall WR. You don't see a lot of Duper, Clayton, Tim McGee, Eddie Brown WRs.

When was the last superstar WR to win a Super Bowl. I realize Julio would've without incompetent coaching last night but if you think of the top WR of the last 15 years they're pretty much all ringless. And it's not all attitude related since Fitzgerald is considered a model teammate. Makes you wonder if paying for a superstar makes any sense

Maybe the Rams with Holt and Bruce? Irvin and the Cowboys? Rice with the 9ers? QBs, O line, and D line win championships.

Would Marvin Harrison qualify? Great point though. That was a decade ago.

Manning also had Reggie Wayne and Dallas Clark, bigger targets.

I'd say yes on Harrison so we're going back a decade. And Harrison is a rich man's version of the Patriot receivers. His greatness was in running great routes and having great hands versus being a dynamic physical talent like Megatron, Fitz, Julio, etc.

We agree about this.
