RE: Great t-shirt for Super Bowl...
For those of you who think baseball is superior...
MLB is considering a new rule for extra innings to possibly speed up the game. Each team would get a runner on second base to start each inning beginning with the 10th. I don't know another specifics. It is a rule change they are seriously considering though.

RE: Great t-shirt for Super Bowl...
I agree that the college format isn't the answer, but right now I'd probably say I prefer it over the NFL format. Also, yes if the 50.7% stat is accurate then obviously the coin toss isn't deciding most of the games or anything... I just think there are situations, including this Super Bowl, where the coin toss is way more important than it should be. This was a game where the Falcons couldn't stop the Pats at the time, but if the Falcons won the coin toss they could have potentially won it without even having to stop the Pats.
From a Falcons perspective: If we lose the coin toss, we're probably screwed.
From a Patriots perspective: They can't stop us right now, but if we lose the coin toss they might never have to.
At least that's pretty much what my thinking was leading up to the coin toss, I'd imagine plenty of others thought the same. I could type out a million hypotheticals, but I don't think that a coin toss is deciding most of the NFL overtime games or anything. I just think that there are definitely games now and then where the coin toss is way more meaningful than it should be and it's pretty silly to not at least give each team one possession, especially in the playoffs.
